In October of 2007 I had just started doing some of my clinical training at the Center on Hasted and was asked to consider starting some sort of group. Given the site I thought that it might be interesting to see if there was interest in something other than a LGBT-focused group. After some research, I was permitted to start the "Many Loves Seminar Series" - which was aimed at individuals who are practicing or interested in some form of consensual non-monogamy. I had no idea if there would be any real demand for the group that was focused on education and relationship skills, but I and the Center were willing to give it a try both thinking that there might be some interest that spanned all sexual orientations.

Not only was there interest, but I ended up continuing to run the group after my practicum there had ended. The group lasted for three years and included member of all sexual orientations and a variety of sexual practices, religious faiths, and genders. While the original group has now ended, I've done smaller groups since then out in the suburbs, and consensual non-monogamy is one of the topics that I am regularly asked to present on.
